Kiron University: Now free for Ukrainian Refugees
Please read the article in Ukrainian: https://life.pravda.com.ua/columns/2016/01/29/207230/
The article discusses Kiron University, a new educational initiative in Germany designed to provide free higher education to refugees. Key points include:
Kiron University offers free three-year programs in computer science, business, engineering, architecture, and other fields.
The first two years consist of online courses from top universities like Harvard, MIT, and Yale, supported by Coursera and edX.
The third year involves traditional offline study at one of 30 partner universities across Europe, Turkey, West Africa, USA, and Canada.
Students can study at their own pace from anywhere with internet access.
The project is funded by donations and crowdfunding, with volunteers serving as mentors.
The curriculum emphasizes modern skills like leadership, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary approaches.
If successful, this model could revolutionize global education. You can learn more about Kiron and share your experience as I just learned about this initiative and do not know anyone who tried it: https://www.kiron.ngo/
