Service to Humanity Tour in Kamloops
Dear Human Service and Social Work Students / Alumni:
You can make a unique contribution to the 50th year celebration of the human service program and 35th year celebration of the social work program in 2020.
If you live in Kamloops and is proud of our city I am hoping to create a group of people who will be interested in designing first-ever HUMS and SOCW service to humanity walking tour in 2020 to celebrate our programs and help us to create an endowment fund for the future TRU service to humanity scholarship for social work and human service students.
I am looking to start doing walking tours in April-May 2020 and share the history of people/places in Kamloops that promote services to humanity. The donations from walking tours will form the foundation of an endowment fund for TRU future student scholarship.
Please let me know about your interest and hope we can have at least five Proud Kamloopsians from both HUMS and SOWK program to join our monthly meetings to plan the service to humanity walking tours.
If you know someone who is not HUMS / SOCW student and alumni but is willing to help, please forward this message to them as everyone welcome to join the service to humanity walking tour in Kamloops initiative and support future students and celebrate social work and human service in our city.
