Description
Carols Ukrainians sing in wartime: old melodies carrying new words, from the anonymous carols of the 1940s to the carol of Bakhmut.
Each chapter follows one carol, its melody, its words and the people who sing it, with the Ukrainian text beside the author’s English where the text is free to print. Songs and poems still under copyright are described, not reproduced: each has an overview, words to learn and links to performances and lyrics.
