Christmas carols as they were sung in a Ukrainian-Canadian language class in Kamloops: well-loved English carols with their Ukrainian versions, and treasured Ukrainian carols with English versions.
Each carol has its story, words to learn and links to listen and read. Shchedryk, Silent Night and the traditional Ukrainian carols are printed in full, as are the author’s three new songs (Unity Bells, O Stand With Us, Canada, and Joy in Ukraine). Songs and poems still under copyright are described, not reproduced: each has an overview, words to learn and links to performances and lyrics.
