Friends and neighbors, save the date and join the Kamloops Stand with Ukraine community tomorrow evening (January 13) as we come together in festive song and feast to stand in solidarity with Ukraine at the Hills of Peace Lutheran Church. Let’s fill the church with the aromas of our favorite homemade dishes and the harmonies of our voices lifted in community as we celebrate the ties that bind our hearts together across the miles.
I invite you to bring your family recipes and song suggestions to make this cross-cultural celebration uniquely ours. Whether you have Ukrainian roots or not, through the bonds of music and meal, we can send hope and care to the people of Ukraine to remind them that Kamloops stands with them.
