We invite you to share your story of connection and solidarity with Ukraine for an upcoming e-book. Stand With Ukraine: Stories from British Columbia will compile testimonials and articles from across the province about how individuals and communities have supported Ukraine and its people since February 2022.
Whether through fundraising, rallies, displays of solidarity, humanitarian efforts, or other means, we welcome you to add your voice. Your story will inspire and unite readers while raising funds for a Ukrainian student scholarship at Thompson Rivers University.
The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2024. Please complete the short application form and attach your story or article. We will publish all eligible entries that follow the guidelines, with author names and BC locations.
By speaking up together, we can showcase how British Columbians stand united with Ukraine during this difficult time. This book will preserve the province’s compassionate response for years to come. We look forward to hearing from you!
Invitation to Submit Articles and Testimonials
We are currently seeking research articles and stories/testimonials from British Columbians on how they and their communities have shown support and solidarity with people of Ukraine since the February 24, 2022, full-scale invasion. The editorial team will compile all eligible submissions into an e-book presented at a Stand With Ukraine fundraiser on April 14 in Kamloops, BC. The proceeds will go towards a Stand with Ukraine student scholarship at Thompson Rivers University.
The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2024. We welcome all forms of written work that convey how British Columbians connect with and support Ukraine and its people. When possible, we will translate the submission into Ukrainian so the People of Ukraine will have access to the Ukrainian version of the e-book.
We ask that you complete the short application form below and attach your submission. Your name and location in BC will be published with your work. If you want, we can include your personal contact information so readers can connect with you. We may edit submissions for length or clarity. We reserve the right what will be included in the edited book.
Please share stories of fundraisers, rallies, displays of solidarity, humanitarian efforts, calls and acts to end russian aggression, or any other connections you and your community have made with Ukraine. Add your voice to help us show how British Columbians stand united with Ukraine.
