Join us to delve into an ancestral Ukrainian tradition and make thunder candles (Hromovytsia) from pure Ukrainian beeswax specially delivered to Kamloops for the workshop. These candles are believed to protect against lightning and thunderstorms. At this hands-on workshop led by Dr. Kondrashov, we’ll learn the ancestral methods while preparing for a special event marking two years since the beginning of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
When: Tuesday, Feb. 20, 4:30-5:30 PM
Where: Hills of Peace Lutheran, 695 Robson Drive
Let’s come together in solidarity and hope.
